what kind of struts did you use?

you'll need better struts than OE or cheap replacements (like monroe or the cheap KYBs)

the only thing you really need to install the springs are the springs themselves...
by this time, your car is 13 years old and your struts are shot, so they should be replaced. I can almost guarantee your dust boots are ruined too. you'll need to replace them (they're the big boot that goes over the strut, inside the spring)

boots will cost you around $15 each, and good struts will cost around $300-500 per set depending on what you get.

here's a guy with good prices and service:

BTW, what the F*** are you doing in Terre Haute? Too damn cold there for me!
I did two years at Rose-Hulman before I got tired of torturing myself and moved home.

Matt, which struts does Brian have on his website? Are they the cheap KYBs? I'm planning on picking up the Intrax springs, will the KYBs from Brian's website work well with these????

His statement was that the KYBs available for the 3rd gen are the "cheap" GR-2 KYBs not the better AGXs

shocks and struts serve the same purpose and sadly the terms are used interchangeably quite often.
The maxima does not have shocks in the suspension only struts.

BTW Gjohnson- I'm going to be a direct dealer with Intrax Shortly

Brian, any update on those calipers? I forgot to call and bug you on Friday. I'm in a bit of a time-crunch to get this set turned around.

Well, I decided to go with the Eibachs, since I my Max is a daily driver and I don't have the money to drop in to more camber bolts and bushings. You've got the best deal that I can find for the KYB's so I'm picking them up, but I can get the eibachs off of ebay for $210 shipped, so I'm planning on picking them up off of Ebay.
