My mom has an 89 Max SE and its had nothing but problems for the past year or so. Right now it has a really low idle and surges every once and a while. It idles at about 750 rpms and pops up and down to 1000 rpms. Any suggestions?

? hole in the EGR valve ?

 

better pray to God u dont have any bent valves..cause thats wha happened to me and its gettin fixed as we speak..

 

PCV valve
Air filter
Air flow sensor
Spark plugs
HT leads
Crappy fuel
Knock sensor
AAC valve
Incorrectly set idle.
