Torque steer

Is there a way to get rid of bad torque steer. When ever i accelerate and i hit a bump my steering wheel jerks hardcore. Are there Lsd for the vg30e automatics?
Or am i going to have to live with the crappy torque steer?

get used to it. you put a torquey engine in a FWD configuration, you're bound to have torque steer.

Funny, I've never really felt this, or maybe I'm just so used to it that it seems normal? But I've driven both front and rear wheel drive cars, and I've never noticed a jerking of the wheel over bumps, and we got some major bumps around here.

His problem is NOT torque steer based on his explanation, it sounds more like a steering problem.
Torque steer is only under initial acceleration when the car pulls hard to one side.
Bumps don't affect torque steer
Bumps do however cause BUMP steer which is a suspension problem.

Just my .02

sounds like you've got something wrong with the suspension or steering system. tie rod ends, ball joints, something else is bad.

I've got 40+ more HP than you on the same type configuration (although I DO have LSD), yet still minimal problems with torque steer.

sure... check your suspension.
it shouldn't do that. only way it would be torque steer is if one tire loses traction for a second or something while you're doing that.

otherwise, torque steer is the wheel yanks one way when you floor it, and goes back the other way when you let off the gas.

it's due (partly) to the uneeven length on our front axles.

first and easiest way to check your steering...

turn the ignition switch so that it unlocks the steering wheel.. (turn everything else off so you don't have noises from radio, fans, etc)..

turn the wheel back and forth quickly- just until you feel pressure on it, then go the other way. you shouldn't hear any noise, and it should feel smooth- other than the resistance of the tires on the ground.
if you hear any thunking noise, or there's much play in the steering, then you've got something wrong-- like a tie rod end or ball joint.

Have you ever replaced your control arm bushings? If not, it sounds like now would be a good time. I recommend sending Matt93SE a PM. He has a replacement service that is worth checking out.

Control arm bushings..look into the Phantom Grip LSD device. Not exactly clutch or viscous, but it works on all accounts that I have read. THey can fit it at the factory, you send your diff.
