Eibach & KYB writeup

I know there is a Eibach and Tokico writeup on 4dsc.com, but are there any other writeup out there for the lowering springs, struts install. Thanks

Ah, what's the difference? Same procedure no matter what spring/shocks are used.

You think your happy to see me lowering, try riding in it. I feel like my Trailblazer has much tighter suspension.

Nice man, I'd love to see how you're drop turns out - as I think I'm gonna have to go through the ***** of swapping out my Speedline springs for Eibachs- the 1.9" drop is too low for the City, but would be perfect for a show car / lowrider. I have KYB's for now, so you'd make a perfect candidate for previewing the potenatial overall package.

Have fun!

Ok quick question, because the write up isn't real clear. I know that on the rear struts you have to fill the struts up with oil, but is this the same on the fronts. Or is this only the rears because they are cartridges?

Yeah its cuz the rears are cartridges that slide into the stock strut housing... the front struts are fully sealed already.
- and u dont have to fill the strut up with oil.. but just a cup to lube it up so its easyer to slide into the housing.
its a time consuming job.. and the rear gland nut is gonig to give you broblems.. get a friend.. and knock that nut around a few times...(its on there VERY TIGHT)

good luck let us know..

Fronts: Don't worry about it. You replace the whole thing.

Rears: Just use the old hydraulic oil from the stock strut. The fluid is for heat dissispation. Not lubrication. The oil makes a heat conduction from the insert to the outside strut housing complete.

Thanks for the info guys. I've got a buddy coming over tonight and we're going to get started. Probably will have to finish up tomorrow.

Ok, I'm half way done. The front is complete and I will start tearing the rear apart when I get off work at 4:00pm. Man the front end feels completely different, I'm pumped to see what the complete suspension will feel like.

Quick question though, now that the front is complete, the steering wheel is a little off. How can I fix this or do I have to take it in to be aligned?

you should have it aligned, and you need 12oz of fluid for the rears IIRC
