I think it's the first, but can't tell you for sure

first, my shift boot was starting to fade and had a tear at the bottom so I went to the fabric store and bought a yard of vinyl/leathery material for $3

I sewed up a new one that works great; that was pretty easy because I could use the old boot as a pattern

then, I had a ton left over so I decided to make a boot for my e-brake; that was a little harder because I had to measure all around it and figure some stuff out, but I did and it fits great

That's tiiiite...How much did that cost? I've wantedf to do something like that to my e-brake handle...

less than $3 for the fabric; overall, it took me about 1/2 hour design, 1/2 hour sewing, 1/2 hour install
