I suggest switching to a Cold Air Intake. www.placeracing.com or www.warpspeedperformance.com

You can get cheap "funnel shaped filters" or pop chargers for around $20-$50

Dmontz-
do you have a cold air intake? Did it improve gas mileage as well as HP?

You are better off getting a CAI. Performs better and looks better as well!!

Installing a CAI takes some work though, and removing the stock airbox to fit a CAI or a cone filter can be a nuisance all by itself.

If you want to keep things simple and aren't looking for more performance or noise, then stick with stock panel filters. BTW, you're also going to have to take your car out of commission for a while when it's time to clean out, dry, and re-oil the cone filter. Just a little practical tradeoff that people don't consider sometimes, but you don't have to do it that often.

Or you can just replace your air filter with one from K&N. They are better than OEM quality and perform better too.
