Parts fitment

Just a quick question. I finally managed to track down an auto tranny to get my VG back on the road . However, the guy at the junkyard also has an '89 SE which I want to get the bumper and hood from. They are in perfect shape and would be ideal to later get a Stillen kit. I know there were some minor changes in the body of the car on the 4th gen. So, will the all parts from an '89 SE fit in my '94 GXE? I would also like to swap other parts as well so just wondering if i should do it...

All the sheetmetal should swap. There are some minor mechanicals that won't. ie.. Rear discs will swap but you need the whole rear assemblies.

Yeah, everything should fit. The 4th Gen. didn't come out until later in 1994. So, if your '94 is the one in your sig., then everything should fit.

Thanks Jeff. I'll go and pick it up tomorrow then. Transmission, SE bumper and hood for $800. How's that sound?

Not bad. If the rear disc assemblies are in good condition, I'd pick those up too. Be sure to grab the brackets that the discs mount too. You will need a huge breaker bar and socket though
