Just came in

Hello all
I just received a set of Brembo disks and PBR pads

Edit: do the sizes look right?
I am going to swap them out, but am not sure how to bleed the breaks. Does anyone know of a writeup?
Thanks

bleeding brakes is a fairly univeral thing. if you can do it on one car, you can do it on the rest. google will give you the answer.

the brembos look fine, but rather hard to tell without seeing something to reference it to. the fronts should be right around 11".

ohhhh very nice!

but...... Dont you have drum brakes in the rear?

Bleeding brakes, grab a friend, sibbling, parent, house pet:
-Open bleeder, tell assistant to press on the brakes
-Close bleeder, tell assistant to let off the brakes.
-Repeat a few times
-Check Brake Master Cylinder Fluid Level (add more fluid)
-repeat until the bubbles stop coming out of the line. To flush it just repeat until the fluid coming out of the lines is the same color as the new stuff.

Do not let the master cylinder get too low, otherwise you will get air in the master cylinder and lines. If the resivour is empty when you go to check it you'll need to fill it and keep bleeding it and check it sooner.

Also thats a BlehmCo RSTB (Rear Strut Tower Bar) Matt doesn't make sway bars for us hehehe

Just on this picture

It looks like theres some red stuff on the heim joint, looks like some type of grease or something. Mine doesn't have any of that. I didn't even think about it until I saw your picture, thats why I asked. I'll just ask Matt about it, He didn't say anything so I assumed they would be ok with out any. Mine are really smooth, I'm really happy with them.

Brake Fluid, I juse use DOT3 stuff from Napa, but Matt was recommending ATE Blue (IIRC) to me a while ago. I should flush my lines again anyway, I was just waiting until I could put the 300zx stuff on.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were talking about. I had the RSB installed by a mechanic, and yes he did grease the heim joint. Sorry for the confusion.

I will give the ATE Blue break fluid a shot.

Thanks again!!!

Did you do the rear disc conversion or did your GXE come with discs?

All ABS-equipped models come with discs in the back, whether SE or GXE. The Canada-spec ones do also.

as for the heim joints on the RSB links, you don't HAVE to grease them, but it certainly wouldn't hurt anything.

I was able to swap out the front breaks/rotors and paint the calipars red, but it took me all day Friday. I didnt get to take pics. I plan on swapping out the rears tomorrow. I will take pics then.
Thanks again all

I didnt get a chance to swap out the rears, but here is a pic of the front colored calipars with the wheels on:

It should look allot better when I get the wheels I want
I have noticed a significant diffrence when breaking. I barley use any perasure on the break to stop te car. I need to finish the job and put the rear disks/pads on. Maybe during the week?
