My '91 GXE has started having problems with the auto tranny. I'm not really sure of anything with Autos since all of my car experience before this has pretty much been manuals.
Anyway, it "clunks" into drive and reverse when shifted. It doesn't seem to be any different if its cold or has been driven. It also shifts kind of hard between gears. Could this be something simple like a motor/trans. mount?

It also has a strange slipping feeling sometimes. Just cruising along, let off the gas pedal, get back on it, the RPMs go up, then drop back to where they were and it starts to accelerate like normal. Seems like when I take my foot off the pedal the tranny disengages and gets "suprised" when I get back on it.
