suspension help

well i just bought some 18" rims (235/40/18) (pics up later) and now i need to do my suspension....the offset is +40mm. i know the rims fit, but i just dont know how much room i am working with and how much to drop it or what shocks are best to use. so if one of you suspension pros can help me out that would be great thanks
