How do you change out the bulbs in the foglights?

All of a sudden my foglights, just stopped working. I am not sure what tha deal is. I looked at the fuse and it is good, so i figure either there is a short somewhere or both of the lights just blew out. I order some hyperwhites h3's for the light replacements, but now i can't figure how to replace them. Hopefully this works, if not it is really gonna **** me off. Cuz i don't have the slightest clue to what could be wrong besides this. Can someone inform me on how to replace these bulbs, sorry if this is a stupid question. But i looked and i can't figure it out. Maybe i just didn't look hard enough like usual, but yeah someone please help me out here. Thanx

On the housing there are two clips holding the fogs in. Use a flathead to pop these clips back. Then the housing will fall out and thus giving you access to unhook the foglights.

huh...Not on any stock fogs I have had there isnt.

You have to take 2 screws off of the back side of the fog light. To take them out it is easier to take the whole fog light down. To do that you will need to look straight up from the fog light and you will see 2 screws holding the brackets on. It is a 10MM/philips bolt. If you use a philips screwdriver then use on of the big ones because you will strip them if not. I would just use a 10MM.

once you get it down you will see the 2 screws on the back. That will let the front glass assy (the glass is sealed to the reflector) then you can change the bulb.

not factory fogs maybe...or maybe they are GXE fogs. Are they smaller than most you see?

Do you have a pic?

I don't have a pic of them on the car anymore because I replaced them yesterday. Very Ironic if you ask me. They were factory because I have the factory switch in my car. They must be GXE fogs but these fogs are bigger than the usual SE fogs.

someone probably used the factory switch with aftermarket fogs. GXE fogs are very small and well you know how SE fogs look.

Here is the front of my GXE with factory SE fogs:

I'm considering ditching my factory SE fogs because I have heard one too many comments from people about how "big" they are. Anyone have any suggestions about which aftermarket ones to get? I want them to be tinted somewhat like the tail lights and soon, my headlights and corner lights.

They really do look big on the front of the car...EXCEPT...with the Stillen lip. To me they frame them so well that it looks very natural. Without the lip though...they look like out of place.

I would get GXE fogs if I were you. Go to Matt93SE's site and look at his fogs. He has GXE fogs and they look so good on the front without a lip...much smaller and a whole lot cheaper too.

If you're removing the fog lights by unbolting the bracket with the 2 10mm bolts, I hope you don't end up like me, with one bolt head snapping clean off from corrosion, and the other head being corroded enough to cause the wrench to strip away the hex shape. Then you'll be laying on your driveway, drilling out each hole, and spending three times the required time to change a bulb.

Just buy some similar aftermarket ones and mount them further back.
