Engine replacement

sorry with all the dumb questions. right now i got my '90 VG30E engine, with 150K on it, and a very bad idle, probably with 2 non working cylinders. i really love my car, and i dont want to get another max, so i need to know:

is there a way to replace my 1990's VG30E engine with a 1992's VE30DE ? would it fit? would the parts and pipes go in without many/any mods? cause my current engine is really weak, it idles very bad, even tho i tried fixing it, and now it only runs on 4 cylinders, which isnt only weak, but gas consuming as well, generally, its a waste with 150000 miles on it...

i need to know if its possible, and approx cost.

I hear that it is not worth it. I know for sure you would need a different ECU and the different wiring harness. As far as I know you would be better off just buying a VE. I would think the motor mounts would be similar though. Are you sure that it is the motor that needs replacing on your VG? From what I have read, that motor should be good for quite a few more miles. Maybe it is just something simple like injectors or spark plug wires.
