auto to stick
#2
A couple of guys have done the stick swap.
,but i think it would be a little cheaper and smarter to go buy another Max.
and as far as best year? go for a 94 or 95-96
95-96 are the lightest and fastest and you won't have VTC problems, VQ makes more torque, being all aluminum. and of course the Supercharger from Steelin', would make one MADMAX!lol

It would be cheaper, less time consuming, and less aggrevating to just buy a 5sp. Need4pwr did the swap, he is presently selling his car for 2k. You can find them for around 2-4k easily in good shape. That's the only thing you need to worry about. I would buy his but I can't justify it with my wife unless it's an auto so that she can drive it! I'm looking at a '91 Max, Black w/ leather and 150K miles for about $2,500-3k. Depending on how negotiable the boy is.
