Need help soon with dashlight/gauge question

I took my dash apart again to try to connect my fuel pressure gauge light wire to a source that will dim with the rest of the dash lights. I was told to just put it in the socket with another dash light, such as the brake light, but I took it apart and on second thought don't know if those lights even dim with the rest of the lights. So do they? I would test it myself but my car is torn apart and I don't have power right now, no battery. If they do not dim, then which wire can I splice into that will give power to my gauge light that will dim with the rest of the dash lights when I adjust it. Which color of wire coming from the back of the dimmer switch would dim with the dash lights? I have looked at wiring diagrams but am thoroughly confused, but will continue looking.

Does anyone know which wire to tap on the dimmer switch or what? Or can someone at least tell me if the lights on the dash such as the CEL and brake light dim with the rest of the headlights. I really would do this myself but the dash is in pieces right now.

Okay, they don't dim, bummer. gowirelessnj I would tap the dimmer switch, but the only way that I know to do it is splice into one of the wires, but which one do I tap into? There are like 5 wires on the back of the dimmer switch. I searched online and found out how to do it on an RX-7, but that won't help. BTW-thanks for testing that DMad8724 So can someone pick a color for me to tap? I would just go trial by error, but I don't want to chop up all my wires.

Red w/ a yellow stripe? And this will dim with the rest of the lights on the dash? I just don't want to cut any extra wires.

Just in case someone digs this up and needs help in the future, I did get the problem solved. I backprobed the different wires going into the dimmer switch and ended up tapping into a dark grey wire with a red stripe. The wire also goes into the foglight switch so that is the wire I tapped. The only problem is that it dims opposite of the dash lights, but it's okay because I can just set it in the middle somewhere, and at least I have control over how bright that blue light is from the gauge.
