Ok please explain this a little better? Bose audio gets shot after about the 10th year span. Radio's don't have RPM's. You probably meant your alternator which that noise is normal. I think it's time for you to get a new system. THey run fairly cheap on ebay. Might be able to get some subs, amps, cd player, and speakers from a seller named sell2all. My friend had this system and it was fairly good for the price of 190 shipped.

engine noise in the speakers is usually caused by a bad ground. i'd start there...

I've heard that failing alternator/alternator regulator diodes can cause increasing "alternator whine". My 94 GXE BOSE developed this noise. After a while, the alternator failed. Replaced the alternator and no more problems. But you still need to investigate all the causes of "alternator whine" radio interferece because it could be something else. I had a friend with a nonBose maxima with some alternator whine, and I've owned cars that had some whine, even when fairly new. Hopefully the car audio guys will jump in.
