Can we all attack nissan with the VTC promblem?

good luck.... that was 9 years ago... If it was happening with brand new cars and they weren't covering them under warrantee then you may have a case. I don't think that you would get anywhere. You would get farther by forming your own company to engineer an effective solution and market it to all the VE owners.

I doubt they'll do anything...
It'd be something else if the VTCs were a safety problem, or some kind of harmful to the environment thing, but it's a piece of **** part that can go bad after you put some serious miles on it, though I've heard of the VTC problem as early as 70k... Mine has 100k on it, nothing so far (praying). If this was the case, Chevy or Ford would have to recall 75% of all their cars

There is a fellow by the name of Congdon: Quintin Congdon [congdon@cfw.com]
that has taken this on as a personal challenge. He had some threads back last year on this topic. He has a page dedicated to the issue. You may do well to review his efforts first. Bottom line...Nissan isn't going to do jack about this. As someone stated, it's a part that is just not durable, and we're stuck with it. If I can find his web page, I'll add it to this thread. I think I got to it via links on this forum. Let me do some research and I'll get back.
