Rim Fitment

I'm buying a set of 17 x 7.5 wheels. the offset should be +38.
with a 225/45/17 tire, could i experience any rubbing on the lower spring mount?

does anyone know of a site that lists specs for oem wheels...of all manufacturers.

thanx in advance people.

i think you should be fine the offset is still bearable..at least i think so. the g35 wheels i had on where like 40mm or something close to that..and i rubbed only on lock turns. I'm running 17x 8 up front with some 235 50 and i dont rub so you most definitely will be fine there. however, on the rears, my 17x8 with 235/50 is too close to the strut tower housing for comfort. i think you should be fine with the tire size you've chosen though. do a google search for the vehicle you're looking for and you should come up with some specs...no idea if there is a universal site that has all the makes and model years, etc. listed.

225-45-17 is too small for one. Since it's so short, it shouldn't rub. Even a 235-451-17 won't. I have 245-45-17s and they don't rub

38mm offset with 7.5" rims should be a "go".

hey jeff,
long time no argue...
j/k man

so do you mean too small as in, it will throw off the speedo too much?
if that's the case, i'm not to worried because it won't hurt to read a little fast. should actually help prevent any speeding tickets.

if you mean 225 is too thin for the 17 x 7.5 rim. the stock wheel size for this rim is 225/55/17. so all i'm doing is bringing down the profile. it should be okay, i'll just park a foot or so away from any curbs to pervent rash.

thanks for the help guys!
hopefully these will be on by middle of next week!
