shocks

GR2s are "okay" for the budget minded for those who want to use a mild lowering spring. ST or Eibachs. But go to some of the really low types like a Sprint (1.8-2.x" lower) and you will wear out or even blow out almost any shock this side of a Koni. The low spring puts the top of the shock shaft at the end of the suspension travel. Hit a bump or big dip at speed and you end up rammming the end of shaft into the end of the travel. That damages the shock and prematurely wears them out. Drive on smooth roads and you won't have a problem. Drive in the real world and see what happens.
Spring makers often don't care if you don't have the proper shock designed for their spring. They just want to offer a spring that lowers the hell out of the car(even if it ruins your camber and shocks).

Here's a recent thread with some good info posted by Matt. He is a long standing member of the .org and knows what he is talking about. If I were you I would just take his advice and run with it.
