In short, no these won't work.

They're designed for V8 Style intake manifolds with a carb, EFI retrofit, or center inlet manifold where the air filter comes straight off of it.

I know there are exceptions to this, but to keep it short, just visualize where this would even go on a maxima....

Buy one and let us know how it goes. Get one of those tornado things too while you're at it.

Looks like only Carb setup...so unless magically we have a 5" opening in the throttle body...this wont work too well.

Would probably work wonders on my fathers Ford 302.

But maxima??? nar

unless you got this:

Intake Manifold for Holley 500cfm 2 barrel Carburetor (picture from www.vg30.com)

but you'd probably need to change the hood and it might be a pain in the butt to go to a carb setup from efi.

If those gains are real (ie. the only difference between the dyno's are the air hats), my friend with a procharged chevelle might be happy

Anyone else see the 383 Z32 on the site? I wish they had an engine shot

That hood scoop looks like A$$ on that Z32 (not to mention the ghey wheels). That dude should have never bought the car in the first place if he wanted a 383 stroker in a car. Import guys laugh because he is using old technology and domestic guys laugh because he's driving an import.

You should see this guy around here driving a '88 style RX7 w/ a 355 and dual carbs on a high rise intake. Blew my mind first time I saw it. I dont understand why someone would want to put a domestic motor in a import like that. If they wanted to put a SB in a lil car like that they should have just bought a lil chevette. Oh well, whatever floats their boat.

its a pretty common swap...there are 3-4 guys at the track that have domestic swaps in those late 80s RX7s. Horsepower is horsepower and as the saying goes...theres no replacement for displacement

Also newer LS1 swaps into the FD3 are sorta common. Lotsa power, fairly light motor, the 13bs are NOT light, more reliable hp, lots more torque etc..... 5.0 Ford swaps are done quite a bit also.
