Y-Pipe question

Y-Pipe question
I was planning to purchase a Y-pipe from warpspeedperformance and i wanted to know if i could have the installation done by my trusted neighborhood mechanic or should i take it to a performance mechanic? I currently have a remus exhaust and was wondering if there would be any conflict during the installation process.

Craig is right about being straightforward. I think it took my mechanic (with me helping) maybe a little over an hour and we BS'd a bunch during the process.
Just be sure to get new o-rings (one to each header connection) and a gasket (on the cat side). You can get all of them from a dealer or your local autoparts store for less than $10.
My o-rings were totally flat and I just replaced the gasket, since it was off anyway. These will help you avoid exhaust leaks in those areas and aren't very expensive.

I just got my Y and was wondering if I should even think of attempting the install myself as I have no lift...justa couple ramps & a nice jack.
It doesn't seem like it would be a tough install, other than the rusted bolts. I really don't want to pay a mechanic 60 bucks to put it on for me, but i'm guessing it would be tricky w/o a lift...??
