Intake manifold removal

I need to replace the collant pipe that runs underneath the intake manifold, from the thermostat housing to the throttle body. How big a deal is removing (and replacing) the intake? Is there a good procedure written up anywhere? The Nisssan manual itself covers this only as part of removing the heads. Any estimate of time? Anyone have any experience replacing this pipe? Dealer wants about $500 + parts for this.

Thanks in advance for replies.

A question like this is hard to us to answer because we don't know your mechanical abilities. For a avg DIY's I dont thing it should be hard, it's just a simple remove/replace of parts.

this is craig b's site. first few steps show how to take off the intake manifold. the pipes are held together by a few belts that just need to be unscrewed. and wen you say thermostat housing do you mean the sensor? took me about 1/2 hour to take out the whole stock air intake including air box, pipes etc. hope this helps answer your question.
