Best Y pipe for 93 SE?
So what is everyone using. I'm happy with my Cattman on my 5th gen , so will it be just as good for a Cattman on my 93? I want the best performance gains and best fitment. Anyone have any information on the Warpspeed?

I have a Cattman on mine, I bought it used, but it is of excellent quality. I am not sure if they still make/sell them, though.
I have heard some people say that their y-pipe was louder than stock, but when I first installed mine, everything on the car was still stock. It wasn't louder than the stock y. Right now, my intake is the loudest thing on the car (well, it is when I stomp on the gas).
I only had one bolt that was tough to reach on the install, but due to the nature of the necessary pipe placement, it is probably like that with a Warpspeed, too.

same place you can get a WSP for your 5th gen - Warpspeedperformance

Damn...I need a new muffler too. I'll probably get the Powertech 1012. Does anyone know if it sounds good? Because on the 5th gen 3.5L it sounds nice and deep. I think it should be just as good for the VE. BTW, any pics of the 1012(4" dual tips)

I'm planning on getting the WSP as well. What about the rest of the system, does anyone run a full wsp setup?
Is this louder? I'm now in the stages of intake/exhaust setup and I don't want any more noise than the stock system. I know most aftermarket mufflers will have to carry more noise for performance but what are my quiet options?
Go Magnaflow.

I think the WSP is the right choice. My old Cattman has the following problems. Have no idea if it's been upgraded or not:
1) Flex is way too short. The vibrations/movements break the accordian pipe inside and causes leaks. I want though 2 before finally buying an 6-8" flex (Cattman is only about 4". OEM is about 6-8") and welding it up myself.
2) Front downpipe sits too low and it gets banged up. I got 2-3 dents in mine
3) Downpipe flanges are too thin. Everytime I torque the nuts down, they warp. Last time I had to put the flanges in a vice to straighten them out. Otherwise you get exhaust leaks and loss of low end power. OEM DP flanges are nice and thick. Probably 2x as thick as the Cattman flanges.
4) The pipes in general are very thin. I would say 16 ga at the most. Maybe even 18ga. Exhaust pipes should be 14ga if possible.
The Jet Hot coating has held up well over the 3-4 years I've had it. That is about the only thing that as held up however.
Mufflers: If you think your exhaust is loud now, the Y will amplify that by 2 or 3x. If you don't like noise, be VERY carefull about what muffer you buy. I'd install the Y now and see how it sounds. Buying a muffler at the same time might be a mistake. I run a Y with a 2000+ max variable design muffler and I like it alot. Stock like quietness (or as close as you can get with a full custom manifold back exhaust) and nice sound when you get on it. I run no resonator either. No droning/only the slight hint of resonating when I get off the gas/since I fixed the damned flex, no bees in the can sound.
