Results of Advancing timing

what are some results of advancing the timing and what mark did you put it at?

i put mine at about 25 degrees which is alittle more than most recomend

i noticed an increase in throttle responce and alittle less "heat soak"

most set theres at 20 degrees

VE's it seems you can get away with 25, VG's there really isnt any difference between 20 and 25* from when I was playing with a friends car.

I'd just set it at 20 and be happy with it.

I've heard the VG is best at 17*...truthfully though, I've been from 17-25* and the difference in performance is minimal. not really even worth the trouble IMO, eventhough its simple to do

I noticed no difference when it was advanced, and no loss from when it was put back to stock

I advanced, ran super, seems have a smoother climb to 6 grand.

IMO the only way to see the best gains with advancing timing is to use some sort of system (Emanage, Apexi ITC(which won't work on a Maxima), etc.)that allows you to plot the advance based on RPM...ie- +1*@X RPM, +2@Y RPM, etc.
