hard shifting into 4th

I had a similar problem last year shifting into 3rd before i had my slave cylinder, clutch, release bearings and so on. After i had all that stuff replaced it has worked fine. Now it sometimes won't shift into 4th. If anybody knows what could possibly cause this i'd appreciate it.

It might be doing the same thing as 1 of my Hondas are doing. I think its the throttle body sensor? Something like that, but it needs adjustment.

My Honda will like redline and still not switch into 3rd. heh.

Maybe your transmission is starting to go? Sounds like it's slipping which is usually the first sign of a bad tranny. Then again it could just be something very minor.

If I have 'hard' shifting in my car going from 2nd to 3rd, could it be the motor or the transmission mount? From 1st to 2nd the car doesn't shift hard, but when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd, the car feels like it will fall apart. I did a couple of transmission services on it, but I haven't found the problem.

I have a manual, not an automatic.

it usually only does it when it's cold. Maybe shift linkage is bad? Anybody have any experience changing the shift bushings and linkage?

Does anyone actually know anything about cars besides "autozoning" them out? Need help from someone who is experienced, not a 15 year old trying to put a shopping cart spoiler or a "cold dirt" intake.
