there was a custom kit made for maximas, i remember the kit because it was a group buy. does anyone have one for sale? or know the link for the kit? it was a forum thing only, full bumper replacements and side skirts.

my mom told me to sell it for 500-1000 and get what i can, the idle problem is a 02 sensor. and the right control arm is damaged from the accident, not a hard fix for either.

She looks a bit rougher than when I originally saw her a while back at Edgewater. I should be back in Cincy (near Mason now) for the summer, so you've got my free labor. Good luck getting all the parts (hang out in the parts section here and you should find everything you need pretty quickly).

Ok, now I'm really curious. What happened to Dnas' Maxima? And you have now learned a valuable lesson: Don't let anyone borrow your Maxima. That is the same reason why my 94 VG is sitting in my driveway with a blown tranny. My "cousin in law" borrowed it for a couple of months while I didn't need the car yet. When I got it back the tranny was slipping like crazy and there was body damage everywhere and the interior looked like ****. (hence the gray spots in the GXE in the pics in my site). I didn't even get a "sorry". She just freaking abused the hell out of the car with not respect for me. So I have learned my lesson, no one is touching my cars again. Have you learned your lesson Dnas240?

I don't think I was a member of the .org yet. Or if I was it must happened before I started driving the Maxima regularly and became addicted to the forums .
If it's not too painful to remember, could someone tell me what happened? I'm in a mood for a sad story

91 lincoln towncar -signature series
maroon w/charcoal interior (clean)
4.7 ltr V8 RWD
159k (almost all highway miles ohio-florida)

I am asking 3500, and ill even put 0.00 as the purchase price so no taxes are paid. Please ask everyone you can! i want to get another maxima! 92 se 5spd! please help me....

$10 says it is not a 4.7 unless you
1. put a 289ci in it
2. put a 4.7l mopar in it

Probably the 4.6 eh?

no its a 4.7, it says it in the owners manual and on the original window sticker. they came in 4.7 or 5.0.

Ford stopped making the 4.7 quite a long time ago.

It's a 4.6 SOHC Mod Motor. Not mod as in you can mod it easily, but mod as in modular because of their new casting process. blah blah blah.

besides autotrader says so too (I wasnt sure if it came with the 4.6 or the 5.hoe). I dun wanna go to google

You would want the 4.6 modular motor anyway vs the old 5.0 motor.

4.6 sohc
4.6 dohc

flips coin over 4.6SC dohc
331/427sb is looking pretty dang tempting though.

can still make more power out of a pushrod than the mod motors, cheaper, and with out boost.
I was also looking at the 5.4l from a Harley Davidson edition or lightening, still a tossup if I even want to go the mod motor.
Another option I am pondering is buying a wrecked 03 cobra and transfering engine/trans/seats/steering over.

No matter what it's getting a T56 and 4.10's

sry for OT.

I can make more power out of my old Merkur 2.2 liter iron block/iron head sohc turbo than most na 3.0 liter dohc engines. Doesn't make it a particularly well engineered or well though out engine.
