Freeze plugs

Need to replace freeze plugs on a 93 GXE. Anyone know of a procedure description for this? Nothing in the Nissan manual or Haynes.

Any thoughts on steel vs. brass?

Is it worth investing in a removal/installation tool?

Thanks

it's not that bad.. I recommend getting the proper tools to do it- it'll make the work much much faster.

as for what to do, drain the block of all coolant, then pry out the old ones, hammer in the new ones. it's not hard, just messy.

the fun ones are the ones inside the tranny bellhousing and timing cover. better hope those don't leak.
