Rough Engine... Yup, #3 - also SPARK PLUGS

Boy, was this exciting. My engine started running poorly over the winter, and gradually got worse and worse. I tried injector cleaner - no dice. I decided to replace the plugs, wires, and after that didn't work, the distributor cap. I noticed after I installed my Bosch platinum plugs, it seemed to run a little worse, but I thought it was my imagination. It got really bad, I mean shaking really bad at idle, surging on the highway, less power than a 4 cylinder. I took it to the dealership for a diag, and they said the #3 Fuel injector was bad, 500 some odd dollars. I of course took it elsewhere ($330 - I dont know how to replace an injector) and it ran nicer but it still missed on acceleration. My mechanic recommended only using NGK Plugs, so I replaced them when I got home. IT WAS MAGIC! Really, my Maxima would NOT Run on Bosch plugs, so dont buy them, please! My car runs better than ever now.

Nissan injector problems?? never happens!! (hahaha)... Cleaning them may be a waste of money- check the resistance at the injector, 10-14 ohms. Also inspect the connector at the inj., they are prone to corrosion as they age... If you find a bad injector test or replace all injectors, I've seen many fail, you might not want to do the job again in 6 weeks....

When we checked the resistance of the injector that we though was failing (#4), it read 13.5 ohms. When we checked the other two which were properly working they read 13.8 ohms... Like I said before, the car comes out of the miss less than half the time the motor is running, but after swapping plugs and wires around I still believe it is the injector. I have already used emery cloth to get rid of the corrosion on the connectors.... I would hate to buy a new injector and still have the motor miss.....

Injector changed, now check engine light on and fans don't stop

Guys, after having my dad's mechanic change an injector 3 times, the car finally stopped belching out smoke. But now the check enging light is on (turns off occasionally), and the cooling fans work non-stop from the minute the car is turned on regardless of temperature. Any ideas? Could the mechanic have damaged something else in the process of changing the injector?

thanks!

with symptomology like that I would look for a connector for the coolant sensor being disconnected
