5 spd and hot weather
5 spd and hot weather
We just had a couple of back to back 85-90 degree days. I noticed that after about 30 minutes of driving the car it becomes difficult to shift, especially getting it into first. Has anyone else had this problem? Any remedies? I know a tranny cooler would help but I don't have the cash right now. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
They don't make a tranny cooler for the manual tranny. You should check the gear oil level on your tranny to make sure there is enough in there. Usually when your tranny is warm it is easier to shift, and harder in the cold, strange.
im pretty sure it has to do with the shifter linkage i have the same problem and it only started after i put my sts on and i have amsoil sythetic gear oil but i also removed my heat shield which could be why
do you have a sts ?
is your heat shield still in place ?
