I know that you can swap the VG30DE from the 300zx into the 3rd gen max, but if this is possible, can you also swap in the VG30 Twin Turbo engine that JDM has for the 300zx?

Seriously, WTF is with all this JDM crap? You make it sound as if JDM is a brand like like Stillen or Greddy is. I second the motion for the ban

 

Short answer - NO. Didn't you see the 5th sticky down on the forum discussion page?

Long answer - this question has been raised about 1000 times already and the answer is still no - not without some very serious modification.
Much better to buy a 300ZX for the VG30DETT - the chassis on that car is designed to handle the power whereas you'll need to modify the Max to the max...
