could anyone tell me how to take out the rear lights, im trying to switch my brothers 92 lights with my 89. i took all the screws out and it wont come out.

 

its probably just the sealant around it. it kinda hardens over the years, and you basically have to break it to get it out. pull harder, it'll come out. i had the same problem.

 

I agree with James and I'm sure everyone on here who has removed their lights will too...just tug a little harder!

 

that crap is really sticky and messy. dont get it on your clothes either. that crap stretches so becareful about getting it on the bumper. basically, becareful, that crap is nasty! and oh yeah, did i mention its crap?! cause if i didnt, its crap.

 

The advice I got from someone on this board a while back was to get a heat gun under $30 (or borrow one) from most any hardware store. Preheat the edges of the lights until the sealant loosens up. Be careful not to get too close to the light... (those heat guns get pretty hot!!!), anyway, have some newspaper or something handy to sit the lights on, and use some work gloves...

Hey while we're on the subject... does anyone know how to remove the trunk finisher (reflector with Maxima in center)???

 

the trunk thing is easy to get off, just take all the screws off and pull, theres none of this glue crap on it that are one the lights, there should a screw on each corner of it and four on the inside under the trunk liner.
