Insurance?
I do
I got full coverage and i pay $400 every 3 months. I think that I'm payin too much but i guess when you're only 17 you gotta pay a lot. I also have a clear driving record so i'd hate to see how much it would cost if something happens like a ticket or wreck!
I pay $62 for liability and UIM; been thinking about getting comprehensive though for extra $20/mo, esp as I start to mod the appearance. Collision for me would be $59 more/mo. Kinda pricy considering last time I got into an at fault wreck was before I had my license when I was 16. Anyways I am 23 and have a clean driving record.
Insurance
My premium is $411.36 every six months. This is full coverage, rental reinbursement, and locksmith/towing service. My deductibles are at $500.
Also, I have one speeding ticket for 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. I turn 22 in about 2 months.

I thougt I was getting taken
I pay 1600/yr BUT...it covers my 93Max GXE and my 95Quest GXE. It sounds high, but read ALL THE WAY thru.
I have the following coverages:
** Liability at: 100/300/100 (Bodily Injury of 100k each person, Max of 300k each accident, Property Damage of 100k each accident)
** Personal Injury Protection at: 5k each person
** Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist at: 100/300/100 like above at $250 deduct.
** Collision coverage at actual cash value with $200 deduct.
** Other than Collision (pays to replace the airdam after a high driveway impact, etc) at actual cash value with $200 deduct.
** Towing coverage up to 200 miles (there is a lot of noman's land out in West TX!!!)
** Rental Reimbursement up to $40 per day, $800 max
** Coverage includes driving in North America, Canada and Mexico
I priced out the same coverage with Progressive, Farmers, State Farm, Allstate and GEICO...the next lowest rate that came back was Progressive, and they were hitting at $1150 per 6mo. (2300/yr).
Who am I with? Safeco Lloyds...I ran into them a long time ago having to get insurance for a company car. I have been with them for 15 years now. 10+ years on a clean record.
Also am getting maximum discounts for auto-recovery alarm, window etching, living in a house (they assume you put it in the garage) as opposed to living in an apartment.
The part that kills me is that I am paying for Harris County (Houston, TX), which is one of the highest rate locations in the US.

You guys got it lucky. =P
San Francisco is a very expensive place to insure.. probably cause of California stops and half the roads in the city being too narrow for two cars.
For ONLY liability/uninsured motorist coverage I pay ~$900 every 6 months. That's with anti-theft discount, airbag discount, etc.
Of course, that's the price of being 19, male and living in SF..
(and yes, I have shopped around =)
On the other hand, my parents have a brand new car and an older one (not Maximas), with full insurance on the new one and they pay $700/year. Some serious good driver discounts there. =P
Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about road salt!

I work for a commercial insurance company but when I add autos to a policy San Fran is a very high priced territory...location says it all...
I am a 23 yrd old female, clean driving record & I pay $106 (includes $10 broker fee) every month with full coverage & $250 ded's.
Not bad but I think I could get cheaper...I'm trying to find a policy I can get my car ins. & renters ins. with the same company for a discount rate.
