do they make cross drilled rotors that are compatible with the factory caliper or do you havr to replace the whole thing?

POwerslot makes some........

they sell 'em pretty much everywhere (carparts.com, stillen, lightningmotorsports.com, etc.) should be about $70-80 per rotor and no caliper upgrade is needed.

but yes, there are several brands of rotors that will work..
stillen, powerstop, powerslot, lotsa others too.

i got stillens

i had them on for like 2 yrs and no problems and the rotors dont rust.... i know a few people had probs with the power stop.... the stillens r slightly more expensive

My stillen rotors only lasted 8 months before severely cracking.
Just a word of warning.... you gotta be VERY careful with these rotors not to crack them. I recommend going with slotted simply for this reason.

When these rotors are instaled, are they as quiet as stock or do you hear the metal to metal noise?

Since I am thinking about putting discs on the back of my Maxima, what parts would I need or is there a ready made conversion kit?

You'll hear a tiny bit of "whirring" under hard braking... that's where the edges of the holes hit the front edge of the brake pad while you're braking.. nothing to worry about.
as for metal-metal sound, that's due to pads, not discs.
