1989-1994 maxima dual fan help for 300zx
Well i guess 1989-1994 had the same radiator as the 1990-1996 300z's. I have a 1990 300z. What i am trying to figure out is how the hell to hook up the electrical part of this project. Now i did some research and the fans in the maxima have 4 sets of wires each 2 for low speed and 2 for high speed(+ and -). now those are going to some relay i take it where it is controled by a temp gauge. Ok so heres my delema does anyone know how i could hook this up to my 300zx. how would i beable to have the dual speeds so when the engine gets hoter it turns on the high speed. I guess its not that big of a deal if i have to cut some stuff off and only run the fans on high speed through the fuse block. BUT if someone would know the answer to this it would help out a lot. Im sure there is some way to hook this up. If anyone has anyidea or any input please share it. thanks
yeah the problem is that u need someone with both, and there is one person that i know of with both on here, but i forgot and i belive his is a tt, may be diff, i dunno. try like the z fourms, they might be of some help
I believe (now I may be wrong here) that the second "speed" only kicks in when the A/C is going.
you could probaly set it to activate with another rad fan switch that kicks in at a different temperature.

ok thanks for the info now does anyone have anymore input? It would be great to know how it is wired into your guys cars and also if that dual speed thing is true when the AC comes on i took my ac out so i could prob run it at the lower speed all the time.

I scanned a page from my factory service manual for you. Email me at michael.xenelis@tufts.edu and I'll send it to you (too big to post here).
