i got this idea from my dad who told me he did on his 91 5.0 stang.....and thats a simple and easy mod to bring in more air.......i did it and the only really noticable thing is that the car sounds louder which is great....anyways i wanted to know if you guys ever heard of this.....also i want to get a open air type filter but ive heard that its not even worth it cus it might even harm the car not help it......as always thanks for any thoughts

removing the resonator gives you zero increase in power or response- just increases noise.

you'll see a few HP increase with a cone filter or intake.. don't bother with those $$$ K&N flat panel replacement filters. you'll get no improvement, just a lighter wallet.

look around for prices on an intake for your car. you'll be impressed with the performance, I promise.

the pop charger from courtesy comes with everything you'll need except tools. install is pretty easy.. I think it's got directions, but if not you should be able to figure them out yourself if you know how to use a wrench.

yeah.. if you can do brakes or change a tire, you an install this in under an hour.. I've heard anywhere from 15 min to 3 hours.. I think it's closer to 45 min though.
no big deal.

you're catching up quickly.. I've had my car 3 years and this is "all" I've done..
but then again, suspension, rims, and engine stuff came within just a few months. the stereo has taken me years to build.
