please do

shawn...adr is address file...I'm pretty sure its the same as the "stable" files used on my Honda editor. basically from my understanding its a base code to set everything up on....and then you put the bin file "onto" it and it all magically comes together in the editor as a whole.

 @ canuckistan

if I get some time tonight I'll open these up in the Hex Editor and also se if I can open them in that Nissan Rom Editor thats floating around

This is the link to a great deal of info, if MrGone ever decides to send one or both of his ECUs, he will be the proud owner of a retuned ecu.

Brian

Here is an 89 5-speed CA spec. This is right before I sent it to JWT. I will post picks of the "after" as soon as I get it back

Hi,

how can you tell if it is a CA spec?

because I took it out of my CA spec car.

Edit: If you werent sure if it was CA spec or not, the ECU model number can be matched up on the JWT website to find out the year, trans, and fed/ca spec.

Hi,

is there any difference between the fed and ca ecu?

DA-MAX 06-22-2004 03:58 AM

cool...looks like the guy used 27C256 UV chips, and it looks like he soldered it in permanently to the board with no socket :gotme:

maybe I'll go get a spare ECU this weekend and **** around with it

Yes, the CA cars have some extra functions like Exhaust Gas Temperature, altimeter (for air density adjustments) and a few other things I cant think of right now.

Hi,

if the car was design for ca wouldn't it say CA under the hood?

Hi,

when i look under my dad car hood i can see CA in one of the stickers,

could it be that the 95 and later models had the name of the state in one of the stickers under the hood,

Actually, it does have a socket in there. I ordered a couple chips and a socket and sent everything to him at once. He had someone take out the old chip and solder in the socket. From there all I had to do is send back the chip itself so he could reprogram it once we figured out what it did. I can't remember which chips I ordered but once get on my computer I'll find out and let you know. You're probably right about the part number though.
