Hi, I'm trying to get my hands on a used ECU that has been upgraded by JWT. This ECU is said to be compatible with 90-92 Maxima's. Now, since all 89-94 Maxima's are basically the same and from the same generation, wouldn't this ECU work in all 89-94 Maxima's? Thanks for your time!!!

 

Go to JWT's site and see how many different ECUs there are for 89-94 maximas.

2 engines (VG & VE) x 2 trannies = at least 4 different ECUs (though auto ECUs supposedly can be used in 5-speed cars)

I know that it's $595 through JWT to have this done (and you have to send them a good ECU).

They aren't the same, they have different ones for each engine and each tranny and maybe even you can have it customized further??? (Not sure, but I thought I recall someone saying they would change it for nitrous/turbo/supercharged applications -- not 100 percent on that, though)

They rarely come up used, but when they do, I think the price is better than 1/2 of what one is from JWT.

BTW, if you find a used VE 5-speed one, give me a holla
