Transmission Weirdness

Okay, so my last transmission was slipping through every gear and finally died. I went with the low mileage route and got it back yesterday. It does not feel right. I understand it's a used but I think theres an electrical problem or something else thats affecting my shifts.

It is an automatic and when it shifts from first into second, it doesn't drop the RPMs back as far as it should when it enters in second gear, It stays in the 3500-4000+ range and then climbs to redline then into third. Is there any reason for this? This happened last time before my last transmission started eating itself up.

Edit: Oh and also, the Check oil light throbs intermittently from time to time while accelerating. My oil is perfect color/level as i got it changed 1500 miles ago.

try resetting the computer.

but low mileage does not necessarily mean low wear.

The place inspected the transmission thoroughly and said it was in emaculate condition. I trust the place i went to and this guy won't install transmissions that don't pass his inspection, he just sends them back until he gets the right one.

The only way to really inspect an automatic tranny is to pull it open and inspect the clutch packs. I doubt he went that far (I could be wrong, just my opinion though). Usually the most you can do on an auto without tearing it open is to inspect the fluid and pan for metal and color.

Good luck, I hope its just a computer issue.

The A/T control unit, the ECCS ? how would i go about resetting my computer? I am not much of a fan of electronics asside from my speakers.

And yes they inspected the internals including the clutch packs, the bands and gears.

If they were that far in and didn't do a rebuild then they are absolutely unequivocaly MORONS for not rebuilding it.
either that or liars.

Since it is a used low mileage it comes standard with a 90 day waranty. With how the things are now, if i continue to drive it, the tranny will be fried within 2 weeks. If i even accelerate to get on the free way, it feels like it wants to slip so bad. The RPMS hang so long, it drives me nuts. I feel like i'm driving a manual as it is. The only control i have of the gears is to sorta soft shift it by releasing the gas pedal until it shifts then catch the next gear by applying pressure again. after 1,400 dollars you think you could atleast buy satisfaction.
