Thems tweed mang! "Cloth" doesnt do tweed justice. I loves me the tweed, and willingly gave up the leather for it

I had a full set of tweed that was in my friends van that got reposesed. They came from my brother in laws Max, he swapped in leather that looks just like yours, just minus the cracks.

I watched that show repo men (stealing for a living) or something like that once. You are allowed to get your personal belongings out according to that show. You should have gotten the seats back.

Yeah, I have a buddy that is a repo man. The thing is, if you go get your things you have to pay repo fees.

Not as tight as the factory leather.

Of course, Matt's seats rule. They would look so nice in my car...

Shawn I must say the tweed is much nicer than your cracked (or creased) up leather. I like leather because the chicks dig it.

Here is proof:

My youngest relaxing on my freshly installed Katzkin leather back when she was tiny. I need to take my seats out while I do some work so maybe I can get a new pic of her since she is much bigger now. I also have one of my oldest sitting in it but cant find it anywhere so I will need to get a new pic of her too.

anyway the seats look good Shawn.

ahhhh. I didn't know there was a difference. antonthegrey has the cloth and its really soft. I like it, but I think the tweed is more durable.

I saw that too, pretty cool, well until the 'owner' brought out the gun, but then they smashed it and all was well

That leather is your worst enemy, its worth 3/10th in the quarter. You'll never stand a chance against me until you get dealer leather :keekles: :-P

The tweed is just cause of my (new) job though. Pizza boy hehehehhe. I didnt want to wear out my leather or foam on the drivers seat and well I got tired of the pizza's sliding around. The cloth-err tweed, fixed that problem quite nicely. The back seat is nice because now I dont have to worry about the sun killing the top of the back seat. I feel kind of stupid now, its like those guys who build cars only to trailer them to shows.

Today some of the guys asked how I keep making $40 in tips a night. One goes "you go fast dont you" lol. Today I made more than normal, I say its because of sympathy from the heat lol.

Got it first of last year...around Feb or so. I cant remember how much it was but it was when ATD1 and leatherseats.com were in a price war. I got it for cheaper than any of the GDs that people were putting together.

Actually, vinyl is what burns your a$$ in the summer.. leather is hot, but only for about half a second.

BTW.. I was driving easy in that video-- my tires were corded and I was just waiting for one of them to blow.

I dont know about you guys but I kinda like the crease leather look, gives the car more character. We do have 10-14 year old cars. Just as long as the leather isn't torn.

One thing I do find interesting is that his leather seats were manual and not power. Even though my leather seats are powered and currently working I'll give up my power leather seats for manual leather seats any day. I hate to think if and when my seat motors go out all the hassle I will have to go thru to find replacement motors. Also, his leather seats wasn't a dealer option was it? What year did those pleaded leather come in, was it the 92 only? And didn't those pleaded leather seats come with pleaded leather door panels? I have the plain leather and would prefer the pleaded leather, again more character.

It's a dealer option so they probably just use manual or electric stock cloth and adds leather to it.

Stock leather rules all btw

the pleated leather is a dealer option. I think its an old Katzkin kit (old pattern). Whoever made the kit for the dealers was a big company because it is in a lot of Maximas I have seen.

That is also why it is manual leather...it didnt come from the dealer that way (probably was manual cloth from the factory).

I've had 2 3rd gens, both with this style leather, both manual seats. I prefer the manual because it doesn't take as long to adjust.

92 and 93 based on my experience. It's kind of funny because I've only seen this style leather on my own cars (well and a few rare pics on the org).

yeap! My old 93 had some really cool door panels (well the inserts). My 92 has just some smooth leather inserts instead of cloth, but the 93 had this whole extra design to it. I thought I saved a picture but cant find it.
