Top Torque mods are:

1. Pulley
2. Tranny work (shift kit, new converter)
3. Lighter wheels
4. Different final drive ratio

EDIT: Who can forget Nitrous?

You should probably make sure your car is working properly first. ie.. tune up. trouble diagonstics etc..

Yes, a complete tune up would be good. Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter...

The last time I advanced my timing it helped out my midrange alot--but it may also increase torque down low.

The stock max manifolds are pretty good. Once it's all tuned up, look into getting a Y pipe and a complete catback.

I don't think the pacesetter headers suck. I think people are hesitate to buy them--it is a relatively new product. Somebody put them on a couple weeks ago and posted about it--just cruise back a couple pages in this forum and you will find it.
