help with ground kit...

I was curious if anybody with a ground kit on their ve would be able to help me out....what exactly is getting grounded....Is it just connecting the existing ground to a better ground? or do you actually replace the entire ground wire and how do you do this? close up pictures of where you ran your wires would be awesome....Im trying to create my own ground kit so I need to understand more about it

I'd recommend just buying the kit from BlehmCo. You really wont save that much money doing it yourself and it'll save you a lot of time and research that way. You add new wires onto the existing grounding points on various point around the engine bay to beef up the ground points. Basically it just goes to all the places where ground wires already are on the engine. You can look in the car and find them or they're shown in the FSM.

do you have a ground kit on your max craig? and when you got it done what did you notice?....my car runs good and everthing and never seems to hesitate....I just hear all these stories how a ground kit makes it run like "silk"....

no, I dont have a ground kit

dunno about the ebay. You dont really know what lengths those wires will be so you may have a lot of extra slack or wires that are too short.

Those ebay kits are IMHO. The whole spider web thing just takes over the engine bay, it is not cut to size so you just use what you can.

got the ground kit in mail other day, spent $20 for it shipped. seems pretty good quality, and all the wires seemed to be long enough to get them to major grounding points...some wires were even a little extra longer, but not too much....my engine seems to run a little smoother, but have yet to drive it around...also installed a capacitor for my stereo since its pushing up to 1500watts....makes my idle non-erratic anymore due to when bass hits and drains the battery...also headlights don't dim when the bass hits hard.
