Got Y-Pipe on GXE.. Now what...

Hello Everyone, I am planning on ordering a WSP Y-Pipe for my 90 GXE. After getting that, what do you think would be the next step. I have heard some people talking about an exhaust from a 2000 Maxima???? Does it make a difference???? And what years exactly, 2000+????

Also, what part of the exhaust from the 2000 maxima?? Catalic Converter to end?????

Everything else is stock on my car.
Thanks in advance everybody.

P.S. I dont like tooo much noise.

an intake would be a good idea. After market muffler or cat back system, then lightened crank pulley, then lowering springs and shocks, 17' rims and tires.. then u can think about turbo charging.. hehe..

Not to hijack the thread...but

I'm picking up a warpspeed Y-pipe this afternoon from a private seller. Will it bolt on to the stock exhaust or am I going to have to replace other parts as well? Luckily, Maine doesn't have emissions testing any longer so I'm pretty much free to do what I want with the exhaust.

warpspeed y-pipes are designed to bolt right on there. I didnt have any problem other than getting the old bolts off.

just get a complete exhaust...I got mine from WSP and I like it....if you don't like too much noise...get the 2 1/2" y pipe, hi flow cat, 2 1/4" B pipe w/resonator, and a 2 1/4 muffler.......match that up with a cold air and you should get that power you want without as much loud exhaust sound....I have 2 1/2" all the way and its loud but definately, there are louder and ricier....mine is no rice at all and isn't that loud when I'm just cruising...only on WOT or with the pedal more than half down

270 is about what I paid for my ypipe and cat.....if you want quiet....get the y pipe and cat....and keep your stock cat back then....should muffle the noise....there wasn't too muchdifference when I had just my y pipe and cat with my stock b pipe and muff.....I think even you wouldn't mind it...you only hear it if you push the pedal to the medal....once you get a cat back, thats where you start hearin the deep throaty exhaust...so just dont get a cat back

Wouldn't you know it, Aminus, I have a Magnaflow (Carsound) hi flow cat as well--this one is new in the box. I would be willing to sell both as a package. Email/PM me.
