I had a similar problem in my 1992 SE... It turned out to be the coil packs... maybe get a friend with good coil packs and swap them in and see if that fixes it...

Did you find the problem?

The most likely cause is going to be MAF or coil packs, although those aren't the only possibilities.

My car stalled/bucked (humped something ) on acceleration and it turned out that one of my rear coil packs was bad. I swapped in a lot of parts including ECU, cam sensor, ignitor, o2 sensor, throttle position sensor and MAF in trying to find the cause before I replaced the coil packs.

A lot of guys with VG engines have had their MAF or MAF harness cause this problem. It doesn't seem to occur as much with the VE for some reason. I also read where the cam position sensor caused stalling/bucking, but that was on a google search and as far as I know, no one on .org has verified this to happen.

I talked to a Nissan Tech a few months back and he said using non-OEM style spark plugs can also cause problems like this, particularly Bosch plugs.

When your o2 sensor craps out, you usually start getting worse gas mileage. I think some guys were getting around 200 miles to a tank, then by just replacing the 2 sensor it jumped up over 300 miles to a tank. I have yet to read where that caused anyone's car to stall or buck, however. Internetautomart is right. It should be replaced if it hasn't been in the last 60k.
