Makes a grinding/rubbing/vibrating sound right around 2k rpm under light to moderate load. It dosnt sem to matter what gear or speed.

Any ideas? Im half-hoping for my tranny to crap out so I can justify a 5 speed swap, but I need it to work for a while longer.

what happens to the car when these kind of situtation happen,

 

I dont think its slipping or anything. It feels like some bearing or something is loose and worn, so it has too much freeplay and vibrates at a certain RPM.
