were the timing belt pulleys in the correct position when you put it all back together?? if not.... then you could be fubar'd. if the pulleys were not in the correct position then the car defenitly wouldnt run right if at all.

Had to read that twice...ouch my head hurts.
Sounds like you got your timing off when you replaced the T-Belt. Do you have a Service Manual or Haynes book? You probably need to take the belt off, line up all the timing marks as the manual says, and then put it back on.
Good Luck, Joe

You can get a haynes manual at pretty much any auto parts store. The FSM (Factory Service Manual) I'm not sure, but I know some people here have them, you might can get someone to scan those instructions to you.
Is it just not firing? Or are you getting a misfire? Have you checked your basics (spark, gas, etc)? Did you check to see if something got unhooked by accident or something didnt get hooked back up?
I know thats all basics, but sometimes it could be something small.
Good Luck!

When the car runs before you work on something, and it doesn't run after you are done, it's a pretty good bet that it has something to do with what you just did...
So, like these folks said, I'd be willing to bet you have the timing off. Did you set the correct cylinder to TDC before you took it apart? With these engines, you really need to be careful about the timing, since you don't want valves slapping pistons...

Bottom line is I think you have the car out of time, which means the only way to fix it is to go back and re-do what you have already done, and make sure everything is lined up as it should be. I can't GUARANTEE that's the problem, but since it ran before you changed the belt and it doesn't run now, LOGICALLY, it probably has something to do with the work that you just did on it.
Retrace your steps and look at everything you took off and put back on, and you'll probably find what's wrong. And PLEASE invest the $15 in a Haynes or Chiltons manual before you do anything else.
