does the slider go all the way to hot?

if so, check your heater control valves on the heater core hoses in the engine bay.

wierd thing happened to me also, but also my AC wasn't working. I checked my coolant level and it was bottom of the resevior. Filled it up and now it is fine.

Also, check your thermostat. If it's sticking open, the car never warms up, thus...no heat.

I'm gonna have to guess the original poster started the thread in the 4th gen forum. Why they continue to come in here and make fun of a poor VG is beyond me.
