MPG thread

1993 Maxima SE 5speed:

Gallons filled per gas pump = 14.8
Mileage per odometer = 342.4

Calculated mpg = 23.1mpg

City = 95%
Hwy = 5%

What is yours?

***EDIT***
The above was from last fill up. Today's fill up:

Gallons = 14.1
Mileage = 343.4

MPG= 24.3mpg

Since the last fillup, I dont' believe my driving habits have changed. I still am more than 95% city driving. The only mechanical change was cleaning throttle body and EGR, 'Gunk' brand fuel injector cleaner and new NGK plugs

Last tank: 333 miles, 13.7 gallons to fill up.

MPG = 24.2

I define my driving as nearly 100% highway.

well, i never let my tank go all the way down...but i fill up with a quarter tank left.
My last tank was about 268 miles or so, 12.6 gallons to fill up.
268/12.6= 21.3MPG.
That was basically around town....if i drive highway a lot, I can get 300-340 miles on a tank, which is between 23 and 28 mpg. Not too bad, but compared to my friends who all have 4 cyl cars, its terrible.

i finally did a check on this. I drive mostly highway. probably 75 highway 25% city and i got 21.6 miles to the gallon. not bad. And then i drove a long trip all highway and i got 27.4 miles to the gallon. The 21 was semi spirited with some racing at lights and stuff like that, so im happy with my mpg.

Since this thread is still going....

My trip to Minneapolis and driving within the city, MN about 60%hwy 40%cty. 348mile/12.2gallons=28.5mpg. Speeds up to 85mph.

My trip back home to Sioux Falls, SD. I filled up after I left the City in Jordan, MN. 95%hwy, 5% cty. 158miles/5.1gallons=30.9mpg. Speeds up to 80mph for short periods of time.

Turbo/Befor&After

With out the turbo I was at 23-26mpg city 28-31mpg highway
With the turbo I'm at 21mpg city and have not made any highway miles yet.
I've been playing around with the car alot so guess that could contribute to the shortage in fuel milage in the city. I'm expecting to get same highwayMPG.
With how the stock piping from the manifolds to the actual 1 7/8 exhaust was run,I should get better gas milage just from the loss of exhaust backpressure/restriction! It's all 2.1/2mandrel bent pipe to a free flowing muffler.
Let you know how it does highway soon.
