Temp sensor location on a vg

Anyone mind telling me where it is? Haynes said it's near the throttle body. My temp needle keeps dropping to ice cold, Hopefully it's on a bad connection.

follow the upper coolant hose to the engine..there's a one wire connector (black) on the neck after the coolant hose. that's your gauge probe...the 2 wire one on the other side is the ECU signal.
