Air Conditioning Back Light

Does the non digital air conditioning controls have a back light? When I turn on my lights all that comes on in the airconditioner control are the lights above the selecter that pulls in out side or inside air. Also the buttons have that little tiny green Led on the, that lights up when pushed. I assume that there is supposed to be a light since you cant freaking see the thing. If there is how hard is it to replace the bulb in it? Thanks

there are 2 bulbs that light up the MCC. you will have to take it out to replace them. they are the same at the bulbs for the cruise control, fog lights, defroster and dash dimmer switches.

as far as removal goes it is not that hard. remove everything as you would do the head unit. then remove the glove box. after you remove the glove box, remove the cable for the fresh air, it should be blue and short. then when you have all that out of the way, remove the 4 silver screws that hold the MCC in. remove those and then disconnect the 3 harness'. then you will have to manuever the MCC out and remove the temperature select cable.

make sure before you remove the temp select cable that is is all the way to the left or cold. makes it easier. don't forget how you fresh air switched either.

hope this helps.
