Gauges

I am having wierd problems with my gauges, When i got the car, it had the black GXE gauges, and they were wacked, theyd sit at 15mpg in park, and if i hit the gas theyd go up. and when im driving thed seem to hang up, and jump around. so i switched them out to the white se gauges, this seemed to work for a while. till now, now these are doing the same thing. Has anyone encountered the same problem as me, or have a remedy for this wierd situation?

If it's just the speedometer that's giving you trouble, and it's happened on more than one set of guages, then it's probably the speed sensor that's going bad, not the guages themselves. Check the sensor where it plugs into the tranny and see if it's seated properly.

thanks

Thanks for your suggestion, but it seems a little odd to me that, the second set of gauges worked fine for say 1,500 miles, before the reoccurrance.... did i meantion that.. The only thing i can think of is a bad wire, frying the spedometer gauge. if it was the speed sensor it would have done it even right away with the new cluster.
