brake click

brake click

ok so today i was in my drive way and had my foot on the brake and i noticed that when i push down on it the area by my shifter clicks quite loudly and it has never done it before....any one know what that is?

it always has, the shift lock is opened when you push down the brake; therefore letting you shift out of park.

mine doesnt do that until my brake pad is almost worn out or when something in brake system is about to go. wat are probable causes of why this happens and is there any way to fix it?

the click should only happen if you have an A/T.
and if so it is normal
